Adventures in Casio Land #1
A couple of Saturdays ago LeighStarDust took her very talented friend Sita for a quick squizz in the Cash Converters store on Gouger St., Adelaide. The pretty silver Casio that had been spotted there previously was sadly gone to a happy and possibly five-year-old performer, however, there was a Casio CTK-560L model in its place. It looked like this:

Now LeighStarDust is a little confused about the Casio model progression, and if anyone wants to enlighten her via the comments below she’d be heaps happy. Her keyboard is model number CT-700, but she never seems to find any other CTs. Are the CTs before or after the CTKs? In a properly dewey systemed world, she thinks the CTKs might come second.
Whatever the case, the CTK-560L didn’t stack up for LSD, having no input for her sustain pedal. Sita rightly suggested that this was the ‘dealbreaker’, a term LSD often hears used at the Marilyn Mansion and thinks is tops. So no $129 for Cashies on Gouger, and no back-up keyboard for LSD. But the search continues. Any Casio sightings much appreciated in the comments!
A bit of a net search makes LeighStarDust think that perhaps Toys R Us might help her out. At least buying the keyboard from Toys R Us puts the whole “so…buying a kid’s keyboard, eh?” attitude of retail staff into perspective. Sita had to drag LSD away from Cashies with LSD yelling “I’ll have you know I’ve forged a highly respected musical career using a casio keyboard! I’ve supported Metallica! I’ve played Town Hall! How much is that Happy Gilmore DVD?”
